Knowing yourself, seeing clearly, and leading from the heart.
If you are seeking to positively contribute to those around you, and believe in fostering others' innate human goodness and possibility, amidst increasing fear and turmoil, you are a leader. You don't have to be an executive, manage a team, or even work in a paid job to fit this bill.
Coaching conversations are designed to nurture and empower this effort. I won't provide you with answers, but will give you a space to step back, understand your deepest heart-based motivations, recognise your own needs, and make decisions that feel right for you and for others.
'It is possible to find a path of contribution and meaning if we turn our attention away from issues beyond our control and focus on the people around us' (Margaret Wheatley).

A calm place to come and talk
I have found that what helps people most is having a non-judgemental and supportive place to take their ideas, concerns and dreams, and that such a place is rare in everyday life. I do use a range tools and techniques that I outline below, but I choose carefully when to offer them and do not force them into any coaching session.
Somatic
Drawing on Dru Yoga and breathwork to identify the body's signals for stress and anxiety and using these as an impetus for creativity and change.
Positive Psychology
Focusing less on analysing weaknesses, and more on building on strengths and positive experiences such as joy, inspiration and love.
Nervous system regulation
Understanding the reactivity and problem solving of 'fight or flight' brain pathways, and how to switch these off to allow broader perspectives and creative inspiration.
Leadership
Building inner confidence and trust in your own ethics and values, developing supportive relationships, and looking after yourself well so you can support others and avoid burnout.
Testimonials
Key benefit has been to prioritise time to step back and work through problems. I have been able to have completely different and more positive outcomes from situations I couldn't get past previously.

Senior Manager, Ambulance Service
Claire is an excellent listener and deeply empathic, using these (rare) qualities to go to the heart of my questions and work out
practical solutions.
She has a strong knowledge of theory and frameworks that underpin personal development, which I found helpful. I and the people I work with reap the benefits everyday.

Academic Leader
Claire offers a friendly, constructive and compassionate approach to coaching. It really helped me develop my management approach.
